While my roots began in Texas, moving to Mobile in 2005 has given me a whole new appreciation for our beaches and bays and beautiful flowers and trees. It’s a gorgeous place to live.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think my passion for photography would turn into a career, but in 2008 the market crashed and I lost my job. But like they say, when one door closes another one opens...and that's the day my photography career began. It's been one of the biggest and best decisions I've ever made. My entire perspective on life has completely changed and I've been able to enjoy much more quality time with my wife and be heavily involved in raising our son and daughter.

I'm truly blessed and I love how my work touches so many people in such a positive way. It's very fulfilling to me personally. Ask any of my clients and they'll tell you how much I care and how passionate I am about my work. Commercial work is some of the most challenging work I do, but that's a good thing. It takes discipline and creativity to get good results, and you have to have a good understanding of lighting. I also love photographing weddings! Truth be told my favorite part is the first glance...it's such a private moment and such a big emotional release when the bride and groom see each other for the first time. It's a beautiful thing to photograph. The hardest part of a wedding for me is when the father of the bride gets the first dance. You'll usually find me with my camera tucked up VERY close to my face since it tends to tug at my heartstrings. I have a 17 year old daughter who means the world to me and I know someday I'll have to give her away too...insert crying emoji here.
 
I draw inspiration from many things - from the smallest details, to my client's grand vision for the day. I want my photos to express emotion, movement and tell a story. Obviously there are many ways to achieve this but I prefer a blending of styles. I would define mine as lifestyle, photojournalistic and candid. At some point in a wedding you'll need to shoot in several different styles, and a good photographer can do all of that...and do it flawlessly.

Each photo shoot has different requirements and objectives, so a standard quote is not available. Please complete the form below and provide us some initial information so we can call you to discuss. 

I can come to you for head shots. A small fee is charged for travel based on location but it's very convenient for groups of employees. Plus when you schedule 6 or more employees the cost per person drops to $50/each.

It's always a good idea to bring a brush or any makeup you may need for touchups prior to shooting. You may also want to bring a small mirror to check yourself while we're shooting so you don't have to move from the shooting space.

During the shoot we'll review the photos as we take them so you can make your selects. And if you need some extra time to make your decision we can also post them on a private gallery for your review. Once we know your favorites they'll be cleaned up so you look your very best. Final photos are emailed to clients for an easy handoff.

Where we do the shoot is completely up to you, and I want your input and vision for the shoot to be reflected in the final product. Most of the time we'll meet at the park but home setups can be just as fun and more comfortable for children.

The main thing to remember is that we want children to be relaxed and comfortable, but as a general rule don't put them in any stripes or bold patterns for the photos. They can play tricks with the camera and draw attention to a particular person. Also if there's more than one sibling try and put them in similar hue or saturation of levels of color to balance out the photo. So for example, if one child wears a pastel pink shirt have others in the photo wear a similar pastel. It's always good to dress in style too, but remember the test of time and how long that photo might be hanging in your living room or hallway.

Most of the time we're working around a sleep or school schedule so we'll figure out what works best for you and make it happen.

Because we're in the South it's always a good idea to bring a brush for the wind, a tissue to dab the moisture, your children's favorite toys and a snack/drink. The more props the merrier since we're trying to capture personalities.

After the shoot, photos are processed within 5-7 days depending on current workload. From there all photo selects are uploaded to a private web site for viewing. At that point you can share any of the photos on social media and select your favorites. If you would like to order prints we'll discuss sizes and quantities and costs. Where we do the shoot is completely up to you. Keep in mind we want to incorporate your hobbies and interests so your personality is reflected in the photos.

I'm always asked what clothing should be worn during a shoot... and the answer varies depending on what we're trying to convey in the photos. Bring a good selection of clothing to the shoot. You'll have time to change once or twice. Props are a part of that equation so give it some thought, because we want to capture your personality and what makes you - you. 
Also, don't worry about finding a place to change during the shoot, I've got a pop up changing room that works anywhere.

Most of the time we're working around a school schedule but weekends are fair game too. Late afternoon is best for shooting because the shadows will get softer and the wind dies down.

All of our event photos are available online for private viewing. You may share those photos on social media or purchase prints from the site too.

Galleries

We only use professional grade equipment to capture and print your special events. To assure the best print quality we use a dye sublimation printer. It helps to resist against fading and makes the final prints that are rich in color and will last a lifetime. We also capture your moments on a Canon professional DSLR camera so your guests get the highest resolution and quality available.

Clients love the option of selecting the print provided to their guests. Most of our clients prefer the 4x6 because of the larger photos, but you can also choose from a 2x6 or 2x8 option as well.

Print Options

Our photo booth is customizable depending on your needs and the amount space available at your event site. The booth can be as large as 8x8 and collapsed down to an intimate 3x6 size.

This is a great option for corporate or wedding events. We can design a template for your prints that includes your logo, family crest or whatever the theme may be. We can also add it to your touchscreen experience so your branding will always be visible.
